More About Captain Leet

On the morning of April 13, 1972, an EA-6A (#156979) from Marine Photographic Squadron One (VMCJ-1), Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 15, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), disappeared while on a night mission over the Gulf of Tonkin near the coast of North Vietnam for causes unknown. An extensive search and rescue effort was conducted but no trace of the aircraft or its two crew members, Captain David L. Leet and First Lieutenant John M. Christensen, could be found.
